Ο Brassaï ήταν ένας από τους σπουδαιότερους φωτογράφους που συνεισέφεραν κατά την περίοδο του Μεσοπολέμου στο να εμπλουτιστεί η φωτογραφία και να καθιερωθεί ως μορφή καλλιτεχνικής έκφρασης.  

“Η πίστη του Brassaï στη δύναμη της αδρής, ωμής φωτογραφίας, στο να μεταγράψει όσα περιγράφει, αλλά και το ταλέντο του να εξάγει από συνηθισμένες σκηνές εμβληματικές εικόνες διαρκούς ισχύος, τον κατέταξαν στους κορυφαίους μεταξύ των σκαπανέων της σύγχρονης φωτογραφίας.” (Lifo.gr team)

Brassaï was one of the most important photographers who contributed during the interwar period to the enrichment of photography and to the establishment of a form of artistic expression.

“Brassaï’s faith in the power of crude, raw photography, in transcribing what he describes, but also in his talent for extracting from ordinary scenes iconic images of everlasting power, have made him one of the pioneers of modern photography.” (Lifo.gr team)
